Several arrested for threatening to shoot up other elementary schools
According to a report,
several arrests have taken place nationwide because individuals have
threatened to shoot kids in other elementary schools. Some of the
threats are worse than the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
An Indiana man equipped with a 47 gun arsenal worth over $100,000 was arrested on Sunday after threatening to kill children at Jane Ball Elementary School. Von I. Meyer, 60, had also threatened to set his wife on fire because she is a cafeteria worker at the school. A police statement says Meyer said he would enter the elementary school and “kill as many people as he could.” Surprisingly, the threat came before the shooting in Newton, Connecticut so it wasn't a copy cat threat.
According to a report, a man was arrested and nine guns, including rifles, were seized after Los Angeles elementary schools were threatened in one of several disturbing social media posts made around the country. Kyle Bangayan, 24, was booked on Sunday under a $500,000 bond for making criminal threats that referred to the deadly school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut.
Investigators in Springfield, Ohio, said an 18-year-old man was arrested on Sunday after writing on a Facebook post that he was sick of Connecticut shooting comments and they made him want to shoot kids himself.
A 19 year old in Columbia, Tenn., was arrested during the weekend after someplace posted a message on Facebook saying the teenager felt like going on a rampage after the Connecticut killings.
Police arrested 19-year-old Korry Martinson in Washington state because he threatened on Facebook to "shoot up every school within a 100-mile radius" if his gun rights were taken away. A screenshot of the Facebook threat allegedly posted by Martinson said:

I say good riddance, and that we need more people like you. It's the government's fault as to why these things happen.
If this causes our gun laws to be taken away, to the point as to where I cannot own a gun, I will personally get my sawed off double barreled shotgun and my AK-47 and go shoot up every school within a 100-mile radius of my current location."
