Obama Uses Navy SEALs as Rescue Team for US Left-Wing Activists in Muslim World, But NOT US Jews in Cuba, Bolivia

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when left wing activists from America go to the Islamic world (or places like North Korea) and they are detained there, we should let them rot. These are not naive innocents. They are primarily left-wing, pan-Muslim sympathists and activists who know exactly where they are going and what they are doing. They assume the risk. Unfortunately, the Obama administration has taken to using the Navy SEALs to rescue these people, and in the latest case, a Navy SEAL was killed.


Obama Sent Navy SEAL to Death to Rescue Pro-Muslim Activists, But Not Jewish Hostages Alan Gross & Jacob Ostreicher in Cuba, Bolivia

Over the weekend, 28-year-old Petty Officer 1st Class Navy SEAL Nicolas D. Checque was killed rescuing a doctor from Morning Star Development who was kidnapped by the Taliban. Two other employees of Morning Star had been kidnapped but released. Morning Star Development is a non-profit, left-wing, pro-Muslim Colorado charity, whose members do medical work and economic development for Afghan Muslims in dangerous areas dominated by the Taliban. Nobody told them to go there. Nobody put a gun to their head. And the kinds of people who do this kind of work are generally far-left, anti-American, anti-Israel whack jobs. There is absolutely no reason a Navy SEAL had to die or that any Navy SEALs were sent to rescue these activists who knew what they were getting into. Frankly, anyone who helps these America-hating Taliban supporters in Afghanistan gets what they deserve when they are kidnapped.
This isn’t the first time this happened, either. As you may recall, last January, President Obama sent the SEALs to rescue more of these far-left, pro-Muslim activists in Somalia. Jessica Buchanan and Poul Hagen Thisted (who isn’t even American) from their Somalian captors. Most other aid groups left Somalia long before that because they knew it wasn’t safe there. You have to be a complete moron to go to Somalia to “help people,” given that we know the place is dominated by Al-Shabab and other warring Islamic terrorist groups. Buchanan and Thisted chose to remain there in their work with the Danish Refugee Council. That was a choice made freely. And we shouldn’t have sent SEALs in to rescue them, just like we shouldn’t have sent in SEALs to rescue Dr. Dilip Joseph, over the weekend.

Meet the American Aholes From Morning Star Development That Navy SEALS Died Rescuing
The Navy SEALs are not the personal police and bodyguards for left-wingers who hate America’s military to begin with and love terrorism-supporting Muslims to infinity. If you go to one of the Islamic-dominated or Communist-run armpits of the world on your own, you deserve what you get, and America shouldn’t rescue you. Every time we rescue these neo-hippy cretins, we encourage more of them to take risks like this, so more American military men will have to risk (and even give) their lives to rescue even more.
Contrast this with two Americans Obama hasn’t sent the SEALs to rescue . . . perhaps because they are both proud Jews. Alan Gross was hired by the U.S. government to help install internet service for Cuba’s persecuted Jewish community. He was sent to Cuba at the behest of Hillary Clinton’s State Department with USAID money paying for this mission. And yet, he rots in a Cuban prison, severely ill, where he’s been for over three years (and has been sentenced to 15 years). In that time, he’s lost 100 pounds, and his mother and daughter back in the U.S. both have cancer. But Cuba won’t let him out. (More on Gross here.) And, instead of getting tough on Cuba and/or sending in the SEALs to rescue Gross, Barack Obama is busy looking for ways to “thaw” the Cold War with Cuba and make travel and trade easier with the Communist Castro Brothers’ totalitarian “paradise.” When Jessica Buchanan, the pro-Muslim activist in Somalia was rescued, Obama cited her alleged breast cancer as a reason. But what about Alan Gross’ illness and that of his family members? Obama couldn’t care less, apparently.
Then, there is Jacob Ostreicher, an Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn, who sits in a Bolivian jail, where he’s suffered for the last 18 months without being charged with a crime. His apparent “crime” is that he was a successful businessman and rice trader who refused Bolivian attempts to extort him and reported that his manager stole from him. Where are the Navy SEALS to rescue him? But in the Obama worldview, the Navy SEALs apparently don’t exist to rescue innocent Americans who engage in business or even are on U.S. government missions. Instead, the NAVY SEALs are Obama’s rescue team for left-wing America-haters working for Muslims who hate us.
Glad he’s got his priorities straight.
Tonight, when I light the Chanukah candles on my menorah, I will keep Alan Gross and Jacob Ostreicher in mind because they, themselves are imprisoned and cannot fulfill the Jewish religious requirement themselves.
And I’ll remember that we are living in dark times for the Jewish people . . . when the Navy SEALs are sent in to rescue self-hating Americans working for Islamic extremists, but not to save Jews who are proud Americans doing America’s work.
